Tonight's Probable Starting Goalies (April 7, 2010)

Only five games in the NHL tonight, as the season continues to rapidly wind down. The Western Conference exhibited some excitment last night, as the final playoff spot was clinched following the outcome of two important games.

In order for the Flames to stay in the playoff mix, Calgary needed a win against the Sharks, and they needed Colorado to lose to the Canucks. Neither of those things happened for the Flames, and now they will sit on the sidelines for this years playoffs. The Colorado Avalanche on the other hand, have made the playoffs with an insanely talented, yet young and inexperienced, team.

The New York Rangers desperately need a win against the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight. If they fail to collect two points, they will be officially eliminated from competing in the playoffs. You can bet that the Philadelphia Flyers, Boston Bruins, and Montreal Canadiens will be cheering loud for the Leafs, as they will all clinch a playoff spot with a Leafs win.

Toronto Maple Leafs (Gustavsson) @ New York Rangers (Lundqvist)

Columbus Blue Jackets (Mason) @ Detroit Red Wings (Howard)

St. Louis Blues (Mason) @ Chicago Blackhawks (Huet)

Colorado Avalanche (Budaj) @ Edmonton Oilers (Deslauriers)

Nashville Predators (Rinne) @ Phoenix Coyotes (Bryzgalov)
