2010 Playoffs!!!

Well, my favorite time of the year is almost here. The Stanley Cup Playoffs are in full swing, starting on Wednesday. This is a mini preview of what is to come. Three Canadian teams made the playoffs, with the Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, and Edmonton Oilers all on the outside looking in. There are some very interesting matchups in this years playoffs, but my pick as the most intriguing is the Phoenix Coyotes vs. the Detroit Red Wings.

This is how the first round of the playoffs turned out:

EASTERN CONFERENCE

(2) New Jersey Devils vs. (7) Philadelphia Flyers
(3) Buffalo Sabres vs. (6) Boston Bruins
(4) Pittsburgh Penguins vs. (5) Ottawa Senators

WESTERN CONFERENCE
(1) San Jose Sharks vs. (8) Colorado Avalanche
(2) Chicago Blackhawks vs. (7) Nashville Predators
(3) Vancouver Canucks vs. (6) Los Angeles Kings
(4) Phoenix Coyotes vs. (5) Detroit Red Wings
