The 09/10 season is coming to a swift end, and with teams only playing a handful more games, there are still some playoff races still to be decided. There are seven games tonight, and a couple are big ones. The Montreal Canadiens will need to work hard for another win against the Philadelphia Flyers tonight, as they are only two points ahead of the ninth place Atlanta Thrashers. Montreal, Philadelphia, and Boston are all tied in the sixth, seventh, and eighth seeds with 82 points, so one can appreciate the importance of this game. The biggest battle in the West is between the Calgary Flames and the Colorado Avalanche. Colorado currently holds the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, with Calgary sitting only two points back. Colorado had a game in hand on Calgary, but Calgary can put a dent in the playoff hopes of a young Avalanche team by taking the win tonight.
