Maple Leafs Win Matters Not

Toronto Maple Leafs v Montreal Canadiens
Despite losing in overtime, the Montreal Canadiens were still able to clinch a playoff spot in the 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs. In one of the most entertaining games of the season, the young Toronto Maple Leafs fought relentlessly to make sure their season ended on a positive note. Momentum went back and forth throughout the game, but with some timely saves from Giguere and furious speed from the Grabovski, Stalberg, and Hanson line the Leafs were pressing to win the game.

It was a tough season for the Leafs, but the new young roster assembled by Brian Burke has shown promise as they were given more opportunity. This is the fifth season in a row that the Leafs have now missed the playoffs. Montreal on the other hand, will face one of the top seeds in the first round. Playoff matchups will be decided today after the outcome of the Philadelphia Flyers/New York Rangers game.
