TSN is reporting that the Atlanta Thrashers have traded goalie Kari Lehtonen, to the Dallas Stars for defenceman Ivan Vishnevskiy and a fourth round draft choice. Lehtonen was just recently taken off the IR by the Thrashers, after having back surgery in September. Over his four year career he has a record of 94-83-17 with fourteen shutouts. The former second overall pick will try to win his way to a contract extension this summer.

Vishnevskiy is a twenty-one year old first draft pick, who has two points and two penalty minutes in five NHL contests.
