A trade between the Calgary Flames and the New York Rangers has seemingly been put on hold for the time being. According to sources, the proposed deal has the Calgary Flames sending underachieving centre, Olli Jokinen and forward Brandon Prust to the Rangers in return for forwards Chris Higgins and Ales Kotalik. TSN's Bob McKenzie has said there is no guarantee the trade will be completed, but both teams are still believed to be interested in making the deal. McKenzie believes the trade might have stalled as the Flames were hoping to have Jokinen in their lineup for tonights game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
