Olympic Update

Last night Canada collected its sixth medal in total, as Canadian short track speed skater, Marianne St. Gelais took silver in the 500 metre race. Congratulations to her and Canadian Jessica Gregg, who came in fourth.

Canada now stands fourth overall in the medal standings, with two gold, three silver, and one bronze.

Last night the Canadian women's ice hockey team skated to a 13-1 win over team Sweden. The Canadian women's team is now 4-0-0-0 so far in the tournament, and are the team to beat in the competition.

Men's hockey continues tonight, as team Canada takes on Switzerland at 7:30pm EST. A speedy Team USA will face Norway today at 3:00pm EST, and Slovakia will battle Russia tonight at 12:00am EST.

Last night, the men's team from Finland beat Belarus by a score of 5-1, while Jaromir Jagr and the Czech Republic won 3-1 against Slovakia. In a rather unspirited effort, team Sweden (led by veteran Peter Forsberg) shutout the men's German team by a score of 2-0.

Today is a big day for Canada's athletes, so get on your team Canada gear and cheer loud!
