Flyers Take Game Three, Series 2-1

Flyers' Giroux celebrates his game winning goal in front of Blackhawks' Niemi during overtime in Game 3 of the NHL Stanley Cup final hockey series in Philadelphia
Claude Giroux should enjoy this moment, as for now he is the hero among Philadelphia Flyers fans. Giroux of course, scored the overtime winning goal for the Flyers, turning the series 2-1, instead of the dreadful 3-0. In a game of incredible importance, the Flyers fought hard to stay with the Hawks throughout.

Danny Briere and Scott Hartnell scored singles, and the dependable Ville Leino also scored an important goal in the third. Flyers goalie, Michael Leighton made 24 saves on the night, and was as good as he needed to be.

Duncan Keith, Brent Sopel, and Patrick Kane all scored for Chicago. It was a back and forth game, but an entertaining one to say the least. The crucial game four takes place tomorrow night in Philadelphia at 8:00 EST on CBC.
